Book #2 from the series: Houses of Bone and Smoke

Edge of the Blade: Houses of Bone and Smoke Book 2

About

He dared to do the right thing. His family is the price.

Set in the 22nd century in greater London, North America is broken after a civil war, and the rest of the world is not doing much better. Humans use devices called chips which are microcomputers installed into the brain to directly interface with the internet and other technology.

An underground gang war has erupted within the nine Houses of Bone and Smoke, the secretive organizations that really holds the levers of power in this world.

After refusing his mission to assassinate an innocent for the Hall of Shadows, Cristof finds himself frantic to save his family from their retribution. But can he trust Evin and Detective Ortega when he's tried to kill both of them in the past?

Worse yet, will Cristof choose to sacrifice them if he needs to?

Praise for this book

Another compelling entry in the series. This one starts a bit slower than book 1, but the ending is an exciting sprint to the finish. I'm excited to see where the series goes from here!
